Here’s how Paul is working to counter the chaos in Washington: 

  • While Republicans in Washington and in Virginia are trying to restrict abortion rights, Paul helped beat back several Republican attempts to pass an abortion ban and kept abortion legal in Virginia, 

  • While Republicans in Washington are trying to eliminate the Department of Education, Paul worked to increase funding for education in Virginia. 

  • While Republicans in Washington are trying to take health care away from people, Paul fought successfully to expand Medicaid to cover over 600,000 Virginians – including 48,000 in Fairfax County. 

As a legislator, Paul builds coalitions to pass bills that will make a real difference for Virginians.  Here’s how he’s delivering for us:  

  • Addressing teacher shortages by passing a bill to help career changers and other local community members enter the classroom. 

  • Protecting victims of domestic violence by increasing penalties for unauthorized use of electronic tracking devices in stalking cases. 

  • Ensuring homebuyers have critical information by requiring disclosures of radon gas and marine clay foundations. 

  • Cracking down on human trafficking by establishing a State Trafficking Coordinator in Virginia. 

  • Supporting small businesses by expanding Broadband access.
