Krizek Campaign Collects School Supplies and Over 300 lbs of Food for Local Charities

Mount Vernon, Va. -- Paul Krizek, candidate for Delegate (VA-44) collected over 300 lbs of food for local charity United Community Ministries (UCM) at a summer 'Thank You' party for campaign volunteers and supporters on Sunday at his home in Hollin Hills.

It was the hottest day of the year but that didn't stop a crowd of close to a 100 people from enjoying a backyard BBQ and bringing food to replenish the low summer food pantry stock at UCM while celebrating their hard work during the Krizek Democratic Primary victory.

The campaign also collected school supplies for Good Shepherd Housing's Back-to-School drive.

"The generosity of our community never fails to amaze me and is a good reminder of why Mount Vernon and Lee is such a fantastic place to live. It will be an honor to represent this district in the House of Delegates," said Krizek, who is running unopposed for Delegate on November 3rd.

UCM is a local charity that serves the unmet needs of struggling, low-income families in the Mount Vernon and Lee area. The mission of Good Shepherd Housing is to reduce homelessness, increase community support, and promote self-sufficiency in the Mount Vernon community. Both charities are located in the 44th district of Virginia.
